Merry Christmas

To all three of you who read my blog... sorry I haven't updated lately. (That's on my 09 resolution list, ok?) I wanted to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Spend lots of quality time with your loved ones, remembering those who are not with us this year, eat too much, play with all your toys (and the kid's toys too), be safe, and don't forget why and Who we are celebrating... LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

My Day

JUST CALL ME HELOISE

Last night I put a load of whites in the washer before I made dinner. When I returned to put the clothes in the dryer, I opened the lid only to find a washer full of PINK clothes. AAAGHHHHH!!!! In all my years of doing laundry, I do not recall EVER making that mistake!!! I instantly knew who the culprit was as I held my head in my hands in disgust.

You see, it went down like this... Robert's biker-entrepenuer friend has started designing and creating clothes with all these cool biker designs that him and his family/friends concoct. And of course he gave my hubby-poo a sample of his work to help get the word out... Now this isn't your normal-run-of-the-mill t-shrit. This guy has painted the shirt... with, uh, paint. Isn't that creative of him? Actually, I shouldn't be giving this guy a hard time. After all, it was ME who put the shirt in the wash... with the whites. Hey, it had to be washed before Robby-rob could wear it, right?? Duh. My head is not screwed on as tight as it should be.

I digress.

So, I'm going through this load of whites to survey the damage and dollar signs are rolling in my eyeballs as I'm adding up how much it will cost to replace all these clothes: undershirts, underwear, and socks for all 3 of the boys, two of my favorite white shirts, towels, and my new curtains!!!

So after the initial freak-out wore off, my resourcefulness kicked in. Now, I figured that I couldn't really ruin these clothes any more than what they already were... sooooo I dumped a whole bottle of bleach in and washed them all over again. TA DA!!!! Good as new!!!! There all back to normal and my garage smells like bleach!!! (my father-in-law would be so proud) Now my life can function as normal again. HA!

I had a great time at the Franklin Graham Festival this weekend in Charleston. All the bands rocked (especially TobyMac, of course) Unfortunately, the Festival committee was unable to book the band Sonseed. Check 'em out ... They would have TOTALLY rocked the house!!!!!

Where there is dirt - we will play!!!

1 part fresh cut grass+ 1 part rain = FUN!!!! Tobi and Jack had a blast playing in the wet grass after a quick rain over the weekend. If this is a preview of what kind of fun is in store with two boys, I'm certain there will never be a dull moment at the Platt home.

So? What do you think??? A little sassy... I got about 8+ inches cut off. It was sent to locks of love. Maybe someone can get some bangs out of it or sumpthin. Now I can't wait to get home and play with my new stylez!!! I think I need some cute barretts.
Next time it will be shorter. For real.

First trip to the movies

Saturday, Robert and I took Tobi and Jack to the movies to see The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggie Tale Movie. I think I enjoyed watching them more than the movie, although the movie was pretty cute. They were so good. Jack was mesmerized, as he usually is with the TV, and Tobi got the cutest look on his face when he saw that big 'ol screen!!! Robert got us some popcorn and Tobi would take like two big handfuls and stuff his face!!!
We'll definitely have to add movies to our list of things to do on a rainy day...
